Three Ways to Use Notion for Content Planning (Without the Stress)
Practical, low-friction methods to plan your content calendar — from a simple list to a Kanban board.
Content planning can feel like a second job. But with Notion, you can build a system that works for you, not against you. Here are three approaches I've used with clients.
First, the simple list: a database with a title, status, and publish date. No frills, just a chronological view of what's coming. Great for solopreneurs who want minimal overhead.
Second, the Kanban board: same database, but viewed as columns — Ideas, Drafting, Editing, Published. This gives you a visual pipeline and helps you spot bottlenecks. I use this for my own content.
Third, the content hub: a dashboard that links your calendar to notes, assets, and analytics. This is the all-in-one approach, perfect if you're collaborating or have multiple channels. Pick one, start small, and adapt as you go.
