How to Build a Weekly Review Routine That Actually Sticks
A simple 4-step weekly review process to keep your Notion workspace clean and your projects on track.
You’ve set up the perfect Notion dashboard. But a week later, it’s a mess of half-filled databases and stale checklists.
A weekly review is the antidote. I do mine every Sunday evening — 20 minutes, no more. Here’s the exact routine I use with my own template.
First, clear inboxes. I go through my task list, email, and notes, processing everything into the right database. If it takes less than 2 minutes, I do it now. Second, review the week ahead. I check my calendar and top 3 priorities, adjusting deadlines if needed.
Third, clean up your workspace. Archive completed projects, delete unused pages, and update any statuses. A tidy workspace reduces mental clutter. Finally, celebrate wins. I keep a “wins” database and add 1-2 things I accomplished. This builds momentum for the next week.
Stick with this for 3 weeks, and it becomes automatic. Your future self will thank you.
